Pipeline Operations Management

Pipeline Operations Management carries out its activities through 12 operational regions: Tehran, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Markazi, Northeast, Fars, Northwest, Isfahan, West, Southeast, North, and Persian Gulf.

This division is responsible for managing a network with an annual transportation capacity exceeding 65 billion ton-kilometers of crude oil and petroleum products. Its responsibilities include supplying refineries with feedstock, transporting petroleum products, transferring products manufactured by refining companies, and delivering imported products to designated storage depots.

These operations require continuous 24-hour service. To achieve its objectives, in addition to pipeline access roads and highly skilled operational personnel, the following essential facilities and equipment are utilized:

Major Facilities and Equipment

24 turbo-generators

428 cathodic protection stations

17 units of 63-kV electrical substations

364 main pressure-boosting pumps

165 turbine-driven prime movers

263 medium-voltage electric motor prime movers

15,000 km of pipelines

232 oil transfer stations, pressure-reducing stations, and related facilities

42 crude oil storage tanks with a total capacity of 10 million barrels

60 petroleum product storage tanks with a total capacity of 1.5 billion liters
