Tehran District

Tehran District is one the eleventh Districts of Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Company (IOPTC).

With 2050 km of 21 pipelines, 8" - 30", it is one of the vastest and most important Districts among Pipelines Districts. The center of this District is located in the south of Tehran and the eastern part of Tehran Refinery, in an area of 500612 m² and at an altitude of 1020m above the sea level.

This District, which is considered the center for moving oil products and crude oil from the south   to the north part of the country, is responsible for transporting fuel to Tehran, Semnan, Qazvin, Gilan, Mazandaran, and Zanjan provinces. It shares oil transportation with most Pipelines and Telecommunication Districts (Central, Isfahan, Northwest, Northeast, and North). Tehran District supplies the required fuel for Tehran capital city and Tehran province.

Feeding (crude oil) Tehran and Tabriz Refineries is among other responsibilities of this District. In this line, it receives more than 700,000 b/d of  crude oil  from Ahwaz- Ray 26", Isfahan-Ray 24" and Neka- Ray 30" pipelines . After feeding Tehran Refinery, the required crude oil for Tabriz Refinery is supplied via 16" pipelines form Tehran District.

In addition, the District supplies mazot and gas oil for Montazer Qaem, Bagher Abad, Gilan, Damavand and Shahid Rajaee Power Stations. This is done through the pipelines and terminals which lead to these Power Stations.

Certificates awarded

Tehran District enjoying round the clock efforts of 400 employees believes in sustainable development. As a result of following the implementation of modern management systems, the District achieved   ISO 14000, ISO 9001, and OHSAS 18001 Certificates. It has also established Integrated Management System (IMS) and received   Certification   for Excellence commitment based on EFQM model. The District aims at continuous improvement in its activities.

  Telecommunication Stations and Facilities

Telecommunications Deputy of Tehran District renders service to operational zones, and   pipelines routes in this District as well as other defined Districts.

There are 31 Telecommunication Stations in Tehran District-including analog and digital microwave, fiber optic network, and local telephone centers, as well as mobile VHF systems. This is due to the wide stretch and importance of pipelines, pump stations and installations networks. Their task is to provide continuous and secure communications among different internal and operational units
